New Species of Butterflies (Lepidoptera) from China, Ⅱ

In the present paper eight new species of butterflies from Henan and Sichuan, Yunnan Provinces of China. All the specimens are deposited in Henan Academia and Henan Normal University.Papilionidae 1. Papilio erythrotaeniata, sp. nov. (Figs. 1~2,17) This species is very similar to P. alcmenor Felder et Felder, but may be distinguished by following characters: 1) with very broad red band from casta to inner margin on the underside of hendwings; 2) with a black spot on each of space 1b and 2; 3) with a red spot on space 3~5 of outer margin respectively. Holotype ♂, Baoxing, Sichuan, Ⅵ 2001, Coll. Wang Jinhua. 2. Papilio longimacula, sp. nov. (Figs. 3~4,18~20) This new species is related to P. elegans Chou, but different from the latter as follows: 1) upperside of hindwings reveals four submargind spots smaller and contour obscure; 2) no fulvid and blue on hindwings. Holotype ♂, Luoshan, Henan, 30 Ⅷ 1994, Coll. Zhang Xiaofeng. Nymphalidae 3. Euthalia lushanensis, sp. nov. (Figs. 5~6,21~26) This new species closely resembles E. pratti Leech, but differs as follows: 1) white spots smaller and spots of spaces 7 and 8 very little and obscure in hindwing upperside; 2) on underside of hindwings procession of external median white spots almost straight, nearly same size and interdivided to these sports; 3) apex of male valva above retroarcuate to grow into spiculiform. Holotype ♂, Paratypes 6♂♂, Lushan, Sichuan, Ⅵ 2001, Coll. Wang Jinhua. Lycaenidae 4. Satyrium uncatum, sp. nov. (Figs. 7~8,27) This species is allied to S. eximia (Fixsen), but differs from the latter as follows: 1) upperside of forewings with red spot; 2) underside of hindwings median cross line flexuous; 3) apex of aedeagus are unciform retroarcuate. Holotype ♂, Xixia, Henan, 21 Ⅵ 1986, Coll. Niu Yao. 5. Tajuria androconia, sp. nov. (Figs. 9~10,28~33) This new species comes close to T. luculenta (Leech), but differs in the following ways: 1) male upperside of wings pale blue area very small with black brand in central region of hindwings; 2) in underside of forewings terminal of median lines curved, in hindwings median lines disjoint three pieces and only a black spot on anal angle. Holotype ♂, Paratype 1♂, Yulonxueshan, Yunnan, Ⅴ 2001, Coll. Wang Jinhua. 6. Tongeia shaolinensis, sp. nov. (Figs. 11~12) This species closely resembles T. fischeri (Eversmann), but differs as follows: 1) underside of forewings and hindwings each three row of spots in tidily arranged; 2) with seven spots of median row and external row on forewings. Holotype ♀, Dengfen (Shaolinsi), Henan, 01 Ⅸ 1984, Coll. Wang Zhiguo. Hesperiidae 7. Ampittia luanchuanensis, sp. nov. (Figs. 13~14,34~38) This species is similar to A. virgata Leech, but distinguishable from the latter in: 1) no unciform spot in cell of forewings; 2) no black mark on underside of hindwings; 3) in forewings origin of vein 2 more basally than the origin of vein 11; 4) there being no bilateral symmetry in the valva with one side truncate and another side cuspidae cuneate. Holotype ♂, Paratypes 3♂♂, Luanchuan, Henan, 27~31 Ⅶ 2001, Coll. Wang Zhiguo, Yu Xiling, Wang Yuhui. 8. Ampittia sichunanensis, sp. nov. (Figs. 15~16,39~42) This species is similar to A. virgata Leech, but underside of forewings with yellow hand curvatus, also similar to the former new species A. luanchanensis, but all the areas not filled with yellow spots on the underside of hindwings. Holotype ♂, Emeishan, 1100 m, 11 Ⅶ 1987; Paratypes 4♂♂, Qingchengshan, 1000 m, Sichuan, 28 Ⅵ 1987, All coll. Li Dongsheng.
