MINERALOGICAL STUDY ON ARSENOPYRITE AND ITS GENETIC SIGNIFICANCE OF MAOLING GOLD DEPOSIT. GAIXIAN, LIAONING PROVINCE

The principal sulphides in Maoling gold deposit are arsenopyritc and pyrrhotitc.Three kinds of state of arscnopyrite are developed at the deposit, i. e. corse-grained arsenopyritc, veinlet arsenopyrite and arsenopyrite-bearing quartz vein, and fine-grained disseminated arsenopyrite.Gold mineralization is closely related to arscnopyrite .The results of chemical analysis show that arsenopyrite in the deposit belongs to "sulfur* arsenopyrite which is formed at low-medium temperature(250-350° ), and in shallow-medium depth. The δ34S value in arsenopyrite is consistent to that in Liaohe Group, which shows that the sulfur source of arsenopyrite is derived from Liaohe Group. Typomorphic peculiarities of arsenopyrite exhibit the origin of Maoling gold deposit.
