Gemological Research on Xinjiang Jinsi Jade

TIAN Shuai;ZHANG Le;LV Fu-de;Shijiazhuang University of Economics;  
This paper analyzed Gemmological Characteristics of all kinds of Xinjiang Jinsi jade were studied by using Hydrostatic weighing,slice observation and infrared spectra.The results indicate that the main mineral components is quartz.There are also many other minerals,such as pyrite,mica. Jinsi jade is mainly dense massive structure,followed by the rhyolitic structure. In addition Jinsi Jade also has special stripes,weave structure,commonly known as "luobo wen".
