For the purpose of studying groundwater pollution caused by industrial and agricultural production and protecting the safety of people's living water in the middle of Hexi Corridor, this paper assesses the health risk of the groundwater pollution of a region in the middle of Hexi Corridor by using the model of U.S.Environmental Protection Agency and the monitoring data of groundwater quality in the region. The results show that the non-carcinogenic risk indexes of all pollutants do not exceed the acceptable range;the carcinogenic risks of hexavalent chromium in some areas are higher than those of the assessment standard recommended by U.S.EPA(10-6),which implies that in this region the government should give priority to the prevention and governance of hexavalent chromium pollution to ensure the safety of people's drinking water.
