Guo Qizhi Yu Wanli (Northeast University of Technology, Shenyang, 110006)  
Natural diamond twins from southern Liaoning were examined by means of X-ray diffraction and topography in this paper. The results showed that in the specimens there exist crystal defects such as twin boundary, dislocation, growth bands and substructure. Parts of the dislocation were studied in detail, and the characteristic vectors were determined. The distribution of defects and the relationship between the twin boundaries were also discussed.
