Improvements on Synthesis of Acryloyl Chloride by Triphosgene

The high-purity acryloyl chloride was synthesized from triphosgene and acrylic acid without solvent.Only a small amount of inhibitor and a certain amount of catalyst were needed.The effect factors including reactant ratio,catalyst and its quantity,reaction time were discussed.The optimum experiment conditions were obtained: the molar ratio of triphosgene and propanic acid was 1∶ 2,the best catalyst was imidazole,and reaction time was 3.5 h.
