Relationship of researcher's career growth and work engagement with job performance

With increasingly prominent importance of technological innovation in the development of countries and organizations,it has become a vital research issue how to put the roles of researchers to good use. Based on a sample of 305 researchers,this paper investigates the mechanism for impacts of researchers' career growth and work engagement on job performance through the multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that the three dimensions of career growth have a significantly positive impact on work engagement,and the interactive items of career capacity development and organizational reward growth have an estimated value addition to work engagement; work engagement is positively related to job performance,and has a marked mediating role in the relationship between career growth and job performance.
