Objective:To investigate the relationship between the clinicopathologic and ultrasonographic features of benign and malignant masses in parotid gland, aiming to provide profit for clinical differential diagnosis and cure strategy.Method:The clinicopathologic datas and sonograms of 105 masses confirmed by histopathologic examination were retrospectively researched.Result:Of all cases,92 were benign and 13 were malignant. Our study indicated that between benign and malignant masses, the difference of the sample rate of shape, border, envelope of benign and malignant masses was statistically significant(P 0.05),while the difference of their rate of internal echogenicity and posterior enhancement had no statistical difference(P 0.05).Conclusion:The sonographic features were correlated with their different clinicopathologic, and the sonography could contribute to the clinical differential diagnosis and cure strategy preoperatively.
