Clinic and pathologic characteristics of paraganglioma in head and neck

Objective:To investigate the clinical and pathologic characteristics of paraganglioma in head and neck.Method:The clinical data and pathologic slides of 15 cases of paraganglioma in head and neck were analyzed retrospectively.Result:There were 6 carotid body tumors,4 jugulotympanic paragangliomas,3 vagal paragangliomas and 2 laryngeal paragangliomas.Conclusion:paragangliomas were always seen in head and neck,grew slowly and had special pathologic characteristics.
