AgNOR of lesional and nonlesional psoriatic epidermis─A quantitative study

Pu Xiongmin; Shi Deren (Department of Dermatology, Xingjiang Uighur Autonomous Region Hospital)
The silver stained nuclealar organiser(AgNOR) of human epidermal cells was observed in the lesional and nonlesional skin of psoriasis. The results showed that the numbers of AgNOR were increased in both the lesional and nonlesional skin as compared with in the normal skin and chronic dermatitiis skin. The data indicate that " uninvolved" psoriatic skin may exhibit some characteristics closely resembling lesional psoriatic skin. AgNOR count might help to distinguish psoriasis from other chronic dermatitis.
