Research Progress of T Type Occlusion of Internal Carotid Artery

T-occlusion of the internal carotid artery responds poorly to intravenous thrombolysis and signals poor clinical outcomes.Intracranial internal carotid artery occlusion has different clinical processes and imaging findings.Internal carotid artery compensatory branch of blood supply can be observed in some common carotid artery occlusion cases,the severity of the clinical symptoms was less than that of the common carotid artery with internal carotid artery.There is error in use of noninvasive imaging to diagnose internal carotid artery occlusion,so angiography is often required in diagnosis.In acute to sub-acute phase,the repeat angiography is essential todetermine the internal carotid artery occlusion on the start of secondary prevention.It is very important to explore deeply the cause of T-carotid artery occlusion and its clinical manifestations and prognosis.
