The Clinical Progression of Correlation between Parkinson's Disease and Diabetes

ABSTR ACT Parkinson's disease(PD) and diabetes mellitus(DM) are both age-related chronic disease.Multiple researches have indicated that there exists a certain correlation between PD and DM.This review mainly introduced nationwide and worldwide related clinical researches in the last ten years,including the risk of comorbid PD in patients with DM and the risk of comorbid DM in parkinsonian patients,the shared pathogenesis between DM and PD,the clinical features of the PD patients with DM.The results of some studies that applied antidiabetic drugs to treat PD models and patients were introduced.
