A Report of 30 Patients Ductus Arterious Cases Treated with Occluder Made in China

Objective: To evaluate the short term safety and efficacy of transcatheter closure secundum Patent Ductus Arterious (PDA) with occluder made in China.Methods:Thirty patients with PDA were recruited.Each PDA was occluded with occluder made in China through the percutaneous procedure,which was guided by fluoroscopy. The variety, made by the operation,was contrast on the symptom, press of pulmonary artery,heart function of NYHA classify and parameters of heart in echocardiography. Results: The successful rate of technique was 100%,no pulmonary stenosis and thrombus embolism occurred. The minimal diameter of PDA range from 3 mm to 8 mm (3.6±2.1 mm)in these patients, and the occluders 6 mm to 10 mm(5.4±3.6).The trivial residual shunt was found in 5 cases immediately and in 3 case at 3 days after the procedures.The systolic blood pressure of pulmonary artery had a rapid decrease after occlusion,the pressure was 25.3±3.6(20～35)mmHg and 32.6±5.5(20～42)mmHg( P 0.05),respectively.Patients' cacophony disappeared,symptom minimized,and the pulmonary blood volume decreased.Twenty four patients completed 3 month of follow up.No residual shunt was found and no closure lost in all,except that 2 cases had tiny residual shunt.Conclusion:It is a safety and efficacy procedure that transcatheter closure of PDA using occluder device made in China during a short term. Long safety and efficacy still need investigation.
