Investigation and analysis of the incidence of acute appendicitis today

An investination by questionnaire in 582 cases with acute appendicitis (AA) comfinmed by pathologic section were compared and analysed between 1990-1993 and 1970-1980 in our department. The result showed that: the admission rate of AA decreased, the age of 30～39 (32. 82%) and the highest ualue of ratio in the whole age groups (P0. 01). the ratio of male to female was 1: 1. The clinical type: as simple AA were increased (P0. 01), ptlrulent cases were decreased (P0.01), gangernous and perforative AA had no siquisicant change (P0. 05). Profession and clinical symptom of thepaticnts showed no change.
