Objective: To observe the expression of nuclear transcription factor kappa B(NF-κB) in the specimens of labial gland of SjOgren's Syndrome(SS) and to investigate the role of regulation of NF-κB in SjOgren's Syndrome(SS). Methods: Im-munohistochemistry was used to examine the expression of NF-κB in the specimens of labial gland of 20 cases of SS and 8 cases of normal specimens . Results:(1)The positive expression level of NF-κB in the specimens of labial gland of 20 cases of SS had a notable predominance over that in the control group. The difference was significant (P0.05). (2) The expression level of NF-κB was positively correlated with lymphocyte foci in SS labial gland samples. Conclusion: NF-κB plays an important role in regulating the activity of SS.
