Analysis on the causes of typical petrochemical industry accidents based on safety planning

There are a great deal of hazardous chemicals in the petrochemical industries and the hazardous chemicals are flammable, explosive, toxic and corrective which will cause human loss, possession damage and environmental pollution when an accident occurs. This paper analyzed the cause of typical petrochemical industry accidents based on the safety planning. It is indicated that the amount of the hazardous chemicals, the deficiency of the distance between the hazard and the surroundings, the deficiency of the distance between the hazards and the layout of the hazards were the main causes for the petrochemical industry accidents.
