Women are not only benefited from but also contributing to western area development inChina. While formulating policies for western m development, we should take women's role and theeffects on women into account. Women's special needs should be given Priority to while working outProgrammes of action, on the preference to the goal of making people rich. Important measures also include improving women's ability and providing them with the chances to give full Play in the westernarea development.
