CHARACTERIZATION OF MICROSTRUCTURE IN AN Fe-Sb ALLOY BY FRACTAL GEOMETRY

It is demonstrated how the microstructure in an Fe-Sb alloy can be described by fractal geome-try. The morphologies of α-Fe(Sb) phase in the Fe-Sb (mass fraction w_(sb) 35%) alloy are described by two para meters: fractal exponent D and shape factor S_(D).
