THE EFFECT OF REHEATING AUSTENITIZING TEMPERATURE ON GRAIN COARSENING, THE DISSOLUTION OF VANADIUM COMPOUND AND HARDNESS OF 50Mn2V STEEL

To the steel with vanadium, its microstructure and the dissolution of micro-alloyed element vary with the reheating temperature, which imfluence its final mechanical properties. The effect of reheating austenitizing temperature on grain coarsening, the dissolution of vanadium and hardness of 50Mn2V steel with 0.16% vanadium is discussed in this paper. The results showed that the coarsening temperature of this sort of steel is 950℃. The hardness decreases with the increasing of heating temperature and grain coarsening behavior characteristic is spearated into three parts.
