Fracture Reason Analysis on Locking Blade of 300 MW Steam Turbine

By means of chemical composition analysis,mechanical properties testing,metallographic examination,fracture analysis and so on,the fracture reason of the locking blade of 300 MW steam turbine was analyzed.The results showed that the fracture was high-cycle fatigue fracture,which related to the linear defects on the surface of blade.Some preventive measures for the blade failure were brought forward.
