Effect and Technology of Hybrid Pepper Seed Storage under Different Conditions

Hybrid pepper seeds(in Xiangyan variety series) were storaged respectively under conditions of room temperature (RT),cold storage and room temperature+drying agent (RT+DA), and their germination percentage, germinating energy, percentage of seedling emergence and seedling emergence index from 1997～2000 were determined. The results have indicated hybrid pepper seed may be well storaged under room temperature+drying agent for 4 years with safety and low cast. The method is suitable to be used in South China with hot and wet climates.
