Research Progress in Plant Anthocyanidin Biosynthesis Genes

Anthocyanidin is a natural plant pigment, one of the important pigments in the petal and fruit color, and a plant secondary metabolism product with important nutritional and medical functions. This paper discusses the biosynthesis pathway of anthocyanidin, some related anthocyanidin synthases and the biochemical functions of anthocyanidin in plants, and reviews the current situation and the future trend of related anthocyanidin researches.
