Application of high speed centrifugal separation technology in cleansing of oleoresin liquid

In this study,the effect of several factors,including centrifugal time,separation factor,the content of oil and the content of the water,of the high speed centrifugal separation method on the cleansing of oleoresin at laboratory scale was analyzed and compared with the effects of the high speed separation on the oleoresin liquid at industrial scale. The optimum conditions of the cleansing process of the oleoresin liquid at laboratory scale by high speed centrifugal separation was as follows: temperature of the oleoresin liquid was 70-100℃,oil contents were from 40% to50%,the centrifugal speed was 4 000 r/min,separation factor was 2 862,and centrifugation time was 20 min. The Luoweibang color of the resulting oleoresin liquid was as follows: the number of yellowcolor was 30,and the number of red color was 0.7. The optimum conditions of high speed centrifugal separation of the oleoresin liquid at industrial scale were: the temperature was 80-90℃,the oil content was 40%,by using GQ105 high-speed centrifuge tube,the diameter of the centrifuge drum was 105 mm,speed was 16 000 r/min,separation factor was 15 000,drum volume was 6.0 L,the feed volume was 200 m L/min by using peristaltic pump,and the residence time of the feed material in the centrifuge tube was 1.2 min. Compared with the high speed centrifugal method at laboratory scale,the solid content of the oleoresin liquid separated at industrial scale decreased from 1.9% to 0.1%,and the nanometer turbidity decreased from 341.3 kcps to 28.7 kcps due to the well separation of ultrafine particles. The number of the Luoweibang color of the oleoresin liquid decreased significantly. The number of yellowdecreased from 35-45 to 20-30,and the number of red decreased from 3.1-5.0 to 1.0-1.8.
