Sensitivity analysis on structural design parameters of self-anchored suspension bridge

In order to study the effect of structural design parameters of self-anchored suspension bridge on the mechanical properties,structural parameters such as the ratio of side to main span,the rise-span ratio of main cable and the height of main tower were selected to analyze the bridge mechanical performance by using the nonlinear finite element method. Results showed that the reasonable range of the ratio of side to main span is between 0.32 and 0.47,the risespan ratio of main cable is between 1 ∶4.5 and 1 ∶9.0,and the height of main tower is between 10 m and 80 m. The changes of the ratio of side to main span showgreat influence on the mechanical properties of self-anchored suspension bridge,which caused the changes of the structural shape and internal force. The deflection of the main girder is more sensitive to the change of the ratio of side to main span,and the bending moment at the middle main span girder and the bending moment at the main tower root have the same sensitivity to the change of the ratio of side to main span.The influence of the change of the rise-span ratio of the main cable on the deformation and bending moment of the main girder is obvious,but the horizontal force of the main cable and the axial force of the main girder are not sensitive to the rise-span ratio of the main cable. The change of the height of the main tower also causes the significant effect on the bending moment of the main girder and the main tower,while the axial force of the main girder is less sensitive to the height of the main tower. The determination of the structural design parameters of self-anchored suspension bridge should not only meet the requirements of structural force,but also take into account the rationality of structural parameter selection.
