Application of carbide slag-DynaWave scrubber process in tail gas desulphurization of sulphuric acid plant

The upgrade and retrofit of the tail gas dusulphurization system with carbide slag-DynaWave scrubber process in Baotou Huading's 360 kt / a metallurgical acid plant are described,with respects to its process choice,flow optimization and equipment allocation. The trial operation showed a steady equipment running with 91. 89% of desulphurization efficiency,33. 6-150 mg / m3of SO2 concentration and less than 30 mg / m3of acid mist content in emitted gas. Besides,all other emission limits were met and the cost for tailgas treatment was only 5. 28 yuan per tonne acid produced.
