Preparation of a novel β-cyclodextrin monomer with bifunctional groups

Cyclodextrin polymers had been used more widely in the areas including molecular recognition,separation and analytical techniques,biomedical engineering,environmental protection,etc.It is a feasible approach to prepare cyclodextrin polymers by transferring cyclodextrin molecular to monomer with high reactive groups.This paper adopted reasonable molecular design process,first,mono(6–(2–aminoethyl)amino–6–deoxy)–β–cyclodextrin(β–CD–6–en)was gained by sulfonylation and amination of β–cyclodextrin,then via the aminolysis reaction with maleic anhydride,it was changed to cyclodextrin monomer with bifunctional groups of double–bond and carboxyl,and the intermediate and product were characterized by DSC,1 H NMR and IR.
