Review on research of using desulfurized gypsum to ameliorate saline-sodic soil

This paper reviewed on the studies of improving saline-sodic soil technology using desulfurized gypsum in the past few years,with a view to clear it's effect by analyzing alleviating impact of constraint factors from soil physical and chemical properties, soil microbial activities, enzymic activities, in addition of salt tolerant plants growing. The results showed that significantly effects exists on soil salt content, ESP, soil porosity, AEC, TMA, soil enzyme activities and plant survival rate, root activity, photosynthetic, WUE,yield and quality.It's applying amount was from 22 500 kg/hm2 to 37 500 kg/hm2,depending on ESP, soil depth and bulk density. The improving measurement should be combined with soil conditioner applying, manure, tillage, irrigation, and salt tolerant plants to increase it's effect.
