Analysis and Test on Static and Dynamic Characteristic of a Hydrostatic Slideway Bearing System Using a New Type Capillary Restrictor with Variable diameter

In this paper, a new-type capillary restrictor with variable diameter and fixed length is presented. It has such advantages as simplicity in structure, easiness in assembly, reliableness in performance and lower cost. Diameter of the restrictor changes proportionally with the porket pressure. So it controls the film thickness of the hydrostatic bearing almost to a cunstant. It overcomes the shortcoming of an invariable capillary restric tor compensated hydrostatic bearing system that the film thickness decreases intensely with the increase in pocket pressure. The following poinst are emphatically discussed in this paper. The main parameters of new-type restrictor, the static and dynamic characteri- stics of hydostatic slideway bearing system, influnce and compensation measure of manufacturing errors of the constructure elements are mainly described. The static and dynamic characteristics are testel on a special purposetested. I is shown that calculation results are in good agreement with those obtained in the tests.
