Clinical analysis of thronic complications in 41 elderly Patients with type 2 diabet

Objective To invesgate the relationship between diabetic chronic complications and duration and blood glucose level in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods 24hour urinary serial proteins excretion, retina, nerve conduction velosity, 24 hour DCG and UCG were examinded in 41 old Patients with type 2 diabetes. Results Diabetic chronic complications including diabetic nephroprthy , retinopathy , neuropathy and heart disease had close relatio nship with duration and blood glucose control. Conclusion Our data indicates good blood glucose control, especially postprandial 2 hour blood glucose , can reduce signifiantly the development of diabetic chronic complications.
