Demonstration of Quantum Cryptography with Single Photon Polarization

Shao Jing Wu Lingan(Institute of Physics ,Academia Sinica,Beijing 100080)  
Based on Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, quantum cryptography allows two parties who share no secret information beforehand to communicate in absolute security. We describe an experimental demonstration of quantum public key distribution using a simple single photon polarization method with four light -emitting diodes as photon sources. The error rate before correction is 6%.
