The Positive and Negative “Human World” in the Novels of Bing Xin and Lu Yin
MENG Meng-meng;College of Literature,Henan University;
Under the guidance of Zhou Zuoren's concept of "human discovery", the litterateurs turned their attentions to the Chinese in lower classes that have not been listed as "people" yet. They showed the lives of the hard-working people,vocalizing on their behalf,and exploring their souls in their works. The real "human world" has both the truth and beauty as well as the false and ugliness. The novels of Bing Xin and Lu Yin describe women who have been forgotten in the history and culture. They discover their joy and sorrow. The novels of Bing Xin dissolve the separation with "philosophy of love",whereas Lu Yin uses a sensitive and sorrowful writing style to describe jostle, hurt,and separation against one another. They all present the real "human world" despite their different perspectives.
