Transferable Skills of Foreign Language Majors——Experiences and Enlightenment of University of Cambridge

Foreign languages disciplines in Chinese universities should aim at improving students' comprehensive skills, imparting them professional knowledge and transferable skills. Referring to the cultivation program and teaching practice in the English Faculty of Cambridge, Chinese foreign language faculties should establish a rich curriculum system, form an effective undergraduate tutor system and perfect the "formative" evaluation, which jointly facilitate undergraduate talent cultivation and the intensive growth of the foreign languages disciplines.
