Design of an 8-Channel Audio Sampling Rate Converter and Its ASIC Implementation

An audio sampling rate converter with a sampling rate conversion ratio of 2∶1 and 4∶1 is described,which is capable of handling up to 8-channel,192 kHz,and 24-bit high-definition digital audio data.By using an improved time division multiplexer scheme,multiplier-free filter architecture and a new SRAM accessing method,the whole circuit only contains 24 000 gates in 0.18 μm CMOS process,with a maximum clock rate of 150 MHz.
