Dead-time Control Circuit for Buck DC-DC Converter

The principle of dead-time generation was presented,and a dead-time control circuit for buck DC-DC converter was proposed.This circuit can dynamically adjust the dead-time by means of sensing load current,and reduce body-diode turn-on time.Also,the anti-ringing problem was solved.Simulation results showed that dead time was varying with load current at 1 MHz,and the body-diode turn-on time was reduced to 1.5-2.5 ns,thus improving power efficiency of the system.
