Study through Experiments on the Multi-Point No-Die Formation of the Saddle-Shaped Camber of Steel Sheets

The experiments on the formation of the saddle_shaped camber were made on the experimental device of the self_made multi_point die. An analysis was made on the distribution of pressing vestiges and instability caused in the course of experiments and on the elastic mat's affection on the formation. The measures to restrain defects by using elastic mats and to increase the plate forming limitation by adopting the step_by_step forming method were summarized.
