Forging process and design of die for the steering knuckle of truck

A feasible process scheme was made for forming the steering knuckle of a truck based on a technological analysis on the forging of the part.The defects probably occurred during the manufacturing process were studied and the solution was proposed.The structural feature of the forging die was described.The cavity of a blocker die was designed in order for the sufficient pre-distribution of the blank and for the finish forging forming.The finish forging pressure was thus decreased.
