Cause analysis and countermeasure research on perforation of PVC-PSG pipeline joint

In order to solve the perforation problem in gate area of PSG pipeline joint after demoulding a period of time, the initial forming scheme of the PVC-PSG pipeline joint was simulated by Moldflow. The results showed that the big shrinkage was appeared on the gate area, which led to stress concentration and perforation. Through improving the gating system and numerical simulation again, the shrinkage rate was significantly lower than before.
