Experimental investigation on multi-cutting for WEDM of narrow slit with CuW alloy electrode

The research that narrow slit multi-cutting in the copper-tungsten alloy by WEDM-LS with ?0.1 mm Cu-wire was carried out. In the experiment, the removal amount of each cutting in the total three cutting was figured out. Based on the experiment, the offset value of each cutting in the multi-cutting could be confirmed so that the narrow slit cutting could meet the requirement of dimensional accuracy and surface quality. The narrow slit width was(140 ± 2)μm, surface roughness was Ra0.37μm, which was cut in the thickness 6 mm of copper-tungsten alloy(W70%).
