Genetic Analysis of Cold Tolerance Characters and Functional Components of Brown Rice 02428 Mutant RIL at Booting Stage

For breeding rice with high content of bioactive components under chilling injury and a biochemical basis for cold tolerance breeding of rice, used 336 F6 families at the booting stage of the 02428 mutant RIL as experiment material, the correlation of the variation of the main cold tolerance characters in brown rice and the content of RS, GABA and total flavonoids in brown rice were analyzed. The results showed that: The average content of functional components of brown rice in F6 family was RS(6 462 mg/kg) total flavonoids(697.4 mg/kg) GABA(232.6 mg/kg). GABA and total flavonoids in the F5 and F6 generation were significantly correlated with cold tolerance. However, there was no significant correlation between RS and F5 or F6 generation. 2 functional components related to chilling tolerance had greater variation, and the coefficient of variation was total flavonoids(54.73%) GABA(20.61%). The content of GABA in brown rice is mainly affected by seed setting rate, while the content of total flavonoids is mainly affected by the width of blade and the number of grains.
