New development on probing and measuring technology for failed cracking of overburden rock

The grouting technology for separated layer is a new method to control the mining ground subsidence in recent years. Although method has been applied to many coal mines with certain results, due to lack of the correct statement on the location of the separated layer, it is hard to control the grouting results, which could be influence to the application of the technology. In the recent years, there is a new development of the probing and measuring technology for overburden rock failed. The new development of the technology can provide the new monitoring and measuring method to probe and measure the location of the overburden rock in coal mining. The paper emphasized the introduction of several new probing and measuring methods applied in the recent years, including the EH-4 electric conducted rate image system to probe and measure the strata structure and overburden rock failed state and the borehole color TV system to view and measure the cracking and width in the overburden rock.
