Strike surrounding rock pressure distribution law and terminal mining line location setting for fully mechanized top coal caving mining face

In order to rationally set the location of the terminal line for fully mechanized top coal caving mining face,and taking a fully mechanized top coal caving mining face in C_(13-1) seam of Xieqiao Mine as the research object,a simulation test and a site test with simula- ted material were conducted from the roof movement,deep displacement of the gateway,support loadings in the railway upward gateway, support loading and deformation in the gateway,periodical pressure in the coal mining face and others.The paper analyzed the pressure distribution law of the strike surrounding rock of the fully mechanized top coal caving mining face.Resuhs showed that the average value at the pressure peak location of the surrounding rock was 14.4 m and the average value of the pilot distance influenced was 66.8 m.At the average 29.2 m location in front of the coal mining face,the strata pressure behave in the surrounding rock was changed from a relaxation to serious.The location of the terminal mining line was rationally set at a distance of 30 m to the railway line upward gateway,which was 20 m shorter than 50 m distance to set the designed coal pillar.Therefore the economic benefit was obvious.
