Theory and practices on high level borehole gas drainage technology

The mining operation in the mining face would cause pressure releasing from the over strata above the mining face.An“O”type cracking for mine gas flowing and moving would be established in the goaf.A long term stable gas drainage operation could be done in those areas.With the numerical simulation research,the paper analyzed,studied and measured the pressure releasing results in the No.12 and No.13-1 seams above No.11-2 seam,the location of the“O”area in the goaf caused by the mining operation and the high level borehole gas drainage result.The research results showed that the mining in No.11-2 seam and No.12 and 13-2 seams had a ob- vious pressure releasing results.The seam penetration coefficient of the seam increased by 2880 times.The gas pressure in the No.13- 2 seam reduced from 4.5 MPa to 0.5 MPa with the high level borehole gas drainage operation.The gas resolution rate and the boring cut- ting quantity were at the safety value,which could ensure the safety mining operation in No.13-1 seam.
