Research on modification with TiO_2 and photocatalysis features of coal refuse sintering filter material

The ball filter material prepared with coal refuse as the main material for water treatment had a surface modification with nano TiO_2 with a liquid phase deposition method.After the heat treatment,the form,mineral phase,grain structure,element composition and other feature of the TiO_2 membrane surface were analyzed.The physic-chemical performance index of the specific surface area and porosity rate were checked.The results showed that the TiO_2 membrane made at the normal temperature had a homogeneous surface and a high photo-electric sensitivity.The average particle size of the nano TiO_2 was raging from 30~50 nm.After the surface nano TiO_2 modifica- tion,the specific surface area of the coal refuse sintering filter material was improved from 4.0m~2/g to 8.1m~2/g and had a excellent pho- tocatalysis activity.Taking the organic phenol and bacteria as the treated objects,the organic phenol in the light polluted water cab be re- moved up to 98% and the bacteria can be removed up to 75%.The aeration,pH value and flow rate are the influence factors to the pho- tocatalysis features of the nano TiO_2 membrane.
