Determination of left and right boundary lines for numerical simulation model of mining process

CHEN Xiao-xiang XIE Wen-bing (China University of Mining and Technology,Xuzhou 221008,China)  
Base on the theory of the mining subsidence and with the UDEC numerical simulation calculation software,the paper has a study on how to determine the left and right boundary lines in the simulation research of the strata displacement.The study results showed that the left and right boundary lines should set the place out of the influenced area by the strata displacement.If the main study on the failure condition of the gateway,the model boundary could be near.If the study on the displacement,the distance of the boundary could be further.If the model boundary is set in the strata displacement influenced area,the stress concentrated degree in the seam roof would be too higher and the subsidence and displacement of the coal mass would be too higher.Also the support pressure value in the basic roof would be too large and the concentration degree of the support pressure value would be. steadily increased.The strata displacement of the model would not be true.
