Research on strata behavior law of fully mechanized longwall caving mining face in extra thick seam in Datong Mine Area

In order to research the strata behavior law of the fully mechanized longwall caving mining face in extra thick seam of Carboniferous Datong,with the monitoring and measurement of the support resistances in the fully mechanized longwall caving mining face in extra thick seam of Carboniferous System,Tashan Mine and with the micro seismic monitoring and measuring system and surface borehole TV applied to monitor and measure the moving and displacement of the roof above the mining face,the strata behavior law of the roof during the fully mechanized caving mining in the extra thick seam was obtained.Also the paper analyzed the face advancing speed,support condition and geological tectonics effected to the roof control.The roof pressure law was basically mastered,which could provide the scientific basis of the successful application to the full mechanized caving mining in Carboniferous extra thick seam.
