Long-term Toxicity of Luvos in Rats

Objective:To observe long-term toxic action of Luvos in rats.Method:The Wistar rats were divided into three treatment groups(20g/Kg,10g/Kg,1g/Kg)and control group,Luvos was administered by oral in the treatment groups for 60 days,blood picture,renal and liver function were respectively examined and main organs pathomorphology were observed at the stop of Luvos and 7days later.Results:Middle and low dose did not show toxic action on the kidney and liver,high dose showed mild lesion on the liver and could promote excretion of BUN.Three doses not show toxic action on blood picture, but manifested excitative action on hematopoietic system.Injury changes caused by toxicity were not discovered during pathomorphology research.Conclusion:Luvos has no toxic action in rats when it is administrated within the extent of normal clinical dose.
