SOC and internal resistance estimation of lithium battery based on DKF

The electric vehicle battery management system(BMS) needs to achieve the accurate estimation of the battery's state of charge(SOC). In order to improve the precision of the traditional ampere-hour method for estimating SOC,the method of dual Kalman filter(DKF) algorithm was proposed to complete the dual estimation of SOC and ohmic internal resistance R0 online,which based on the two-order RC equivalent circuit model. According to the HPPC experiment and discharge experiment of a certain type of lithium battery,the parameters of the model were obtained by the way of offline fitting. The results of Matlab simulation and the experimental results under the same conditions were compared and analyzed,which proved that the DKF algorithm can efficiently estimate the battery SOC and the ohmic internal resistance R0,and the error was within 3%. Finally,it proved that the DKF algorithm can estimate the SOC value at any point better than Ah algorithm.
