Structure design and performance test of a straw briquette fired rural household heating equipment

In order to solve the problems of combustion instability,lower combustion efficiency and thermal efficiency,overmuch tar emission in the household straw briquette stoves,straw briquette fired rural household heating equipment is designed. Performance testing results show that the average feed rate of briquettes is maintained at 2.5 to 3.5 kg/h,which could improve the combustion stability and maintain automatic operating for 12 hours. The night banking fire process of the traditional domestic heating stove is replaced and the combustion instability in the furnace is solved. The Straw briquettes are burned out in the main combustion chamber and the volatile gas is burned in the secondary combustion chamber. The ash fusion and slagging and low pollutant emission are effectively prevented by the equipment. The thermal efficiency is 80.11%,the volume heat release rate and the grate release rate are 247.3 k W/m~3 and 167 k W/m~2,respectively. According to the performances test results,recommended furnace volume heat release rate is about 200~300 k W/m~3 and grate release rate is about 150~200 k W/m~2.These results can be as the reference for the design of straw briquette stoves.
