Optimization of Soxhlet Extraction Process for Scutellarin from the Seed Shell of Scutellaria baicalensis

To study the best extraction process for scutellarin from the seed shell of Scutellaria baicalensis, the soxhlet extraction technology is investigated by using the orthogonal test with the content of scutellarin. The effects of working voltage,solid- liquid ratio, ethanol concentration and extraction time on the extraction rate are investigated. The results show that scutellarin extraction rate is ideal under the following conditions:working voltage 200 V,solid- liquid ratio 1 ∶22, ethanol concentration 95%,extraction time 2.5 h. The process saves time,environmental protection,the results of the optimization of stable,and is suitable for extraction of scutellarin from the seed shells of Scutellaria baicalensis.
