Explore the Relation Between Supervising and Guiding in the Teaching of Higher Vocational Colleges

The tasks of teaching supervision are reflected in the following four aspects: supervision, guidance, evaluation,and coordination. In the daily work of teaching supervision, most higher vocational colleges perform more on supervising,while guiding appears relatively weak. Every teaching supervisor deeply realizes that it is a good learning opportunity for themselves and the teachers who are supervised. In the process of teaching supervision,supervisors should have a clear definition on the relation between supervising and guiding. The supervisors and the supervised teachers should establish an unhindered access to have an open communication,a mutual discussion,and a joint innovation. Therefore,the role of teaching supervision can be genuinely developed,and the level and the ability of teaching can be constantly improved. Thus, it is to make supervising as the basis,and guiding as the purpose.
